I don't know if you have noticed yet, but I have recently seen there are a selection of fake supertramp mini lps for sale on ebay. If you look closely at the pictures you can tell (compared to originals)that the colouring is not quite right, BUT they do have up-to-date SHM obi strips and may fool the unwary. As usual they are for sale thru usual suspects in latvia and russian federation (ebay seller: vas_in appears to be a key distributor. See sample pic attached....

All the SHM-CD's I own (bought from CDJapan or HMV Japan) have the text "SHM-CD" and its logo printed in white around the center (hole) of the CD. I've never seen a fake SHM-CD, so I don´t know if the forgers bother to print these.

Excellent question.

I expect they don't have this printed on them (and also I suspect they have the tell tale ring).
